Why Minerals Matter: A Conversation with Dr. Oz
Trace CEO Matt Kilts and VP of Education and Training Dr. Darrin Starkey recently sat down with Dr. Oz to have a conversation about the importance of trace minerals in building a strong foundation for health.
In the conversation they discuss the following:
- Trace seeks to “Remineralize the World.” On a humanitarian trip to Africa last year, a group from Trace installed wells in a village in Zimbabwe that didn’t have access to clean water. They also donated minerals for the villagers to take. The effect of the minerals was especially notable in the children, who had been suffering from malnourishment.
- What is a trace mineral? Trace minerals are elements (such as boron, iron, molybdenum, chromium, etc.) that the body needs in “trace” or small amounts in order to function properly.
- Minerals affect the electrical system of the body. The body functions as a complex electrical system. Trace minerals act as conductors in that electrical system. Getting the proper amount of minerals the body needs enables the electrical system to run smoothly.
- Purified bottled water impacts hydration. Purified bottled water is available in almost every country in the world, but when water is purified it is stripped of its minerals and essentially becomes “dead water.” The group discusses the importance of water that is “alive,” that is, teeming with minerals.
- Trace has a generous “Feel the Difference or Your Money Back” Guarantee. This policy allows any consumer to try Trace Minerals products at no risk. If they don’t feel a positive difference after taking Trace products, they can return the product for a full refund, no questions asked.
Trace minerals are a foundational piece of the health and wellness puzzle. As Dr. Starkey shares, trace minerals “activate, regulate, and assimilate” the nutrients we get from the foods we eat, allowing everything we fuel our bodies with to have a greater impact.
